In Gratitude :
The experience of painting in these
landscapes has led to a quiet
understanding of the deep abiding
interconnection of all things otherwise
defined as separate or opposed, for
example the sea to the cliff
and even more subtle , the curve cast
by the shadow of a wing on the belly
of the flying gull.
The only constants on this journey are
change, Inspiration and the Thresholds
that are passed to experience this.
I would like to thank all who I have
met along this way .
Among the many are: Johnny Messum
Catherine Milner and the team at
Messums, Julian Reilly & Bojana
Mosjov, Seyed Edalatpour & Akram
Rahmanzadeh, Minnie de Beauvau-
Craon, Philip Marsden for his advice
and views from the helm, Sir Barry
Cunliffe, Bob Richmond, The Geraghty
and Ginnelly Families of
Murrivaugh and Rosturk, Hattie and
The Drummond Family, Ronan and
Mandy Halpin, Helen Bellew and
all the gatherings at Lourdies; John,
Linda, Caroline, Fiona at The Custom
House Studios and Gallery,
Westport, where I made these
Monotype drawings, Thomas & Totty
Lowther, The Osborne family of
Black Dub, Molly and Seymour Adams,
Katherine Buchanan for the gatherings
at North Lodge, Minty
MacKay and all at Cala, Frank Atherley
on Knoydart, The Ariundle Centre at
Strontian when everywhere
else was closed behind sheets of rain,
you provided a warm welcome and a
place to rest and eat the best
home made soup.
